“Hotone Audio has mastered the art of blending cutting-edge engineering with ultra-compact design, consistently delivering pedals and gear that defy their size with studio-quality tone and rock-solid reliability.” — Guitar Thrills Magazine
Hotone Audio Co., Ltd. is a Hong Kong–invested R&D, design, production and sales company headquartered in Changsha High-Tech Development Zone, Hunan Province, China. While its engineering roots stretch back to a digital-audio design outfit formed in 1996, the Hotone Audio brand itself was launched in 2012 as a partnership focused on compact, professional-grade musical-instrument and audio-gear products—most famously its miniature guitar-effects pedals and multi-effects modelers. Today Hotone employs around 51–200 people, operates under the slogan “Design Inspiration,” and holds ISO 9001:2015 certification, with a core mission to deliver rugged, portable devices that don’t compromise on tone or build quality
Measuring just 40 × 60 mm yet built in a rugged metal chassis, the Hotone Audio Verber distills seven studio-grade reverb algorithms—Room, Hall, Plate, Spring, Shimmer, Dynamic and Modulation—into an ultra-compact pedalboard-friendly package. Its simple Mix, Time and Tone knobs, plus a Mode dial, let you sculpt anything from tight, close-miked ambiences to vast, ethereal swells, while mono/stereo I/O and TRS expression/MIDI inputs add flexible routing and real-time control. Drawing 65 mA at 9 V DC and employing buffered bypass to preserve signal integrity, it punches well above its weight class, though the tiny knobs can be fiddly in low light and presets require external MIDI. For players and home recordists craving big, lush reverbs without sacrificing space, the Audio Verber is a rare miniature powerhouse.
Okay, let’s start with the headline: this little pedal is a serious reverb machine. The VerberA uses convolution technology, which basically means it captures real spaces and famous reverb units, then recreates them for you. Translation? Your guitar (or synth, or voice) can sound like it’s in a big concert hall, a vintage plate, or even inside a lush studio — all from a pedal that fits in the palm of your hand. Cute and smart!
Let’s talk about tone shaping: You’ve got your basic level, tone, and decay knobs — which respond in a surprisingly musical way. The tone knob isn’t just a hi-cut/lo-cut situation; it subtly shifts the texture of the reverb, letting you shape it from velvety dark to crystalline bright. It’s very “let me just dial this in by ear and trust my vibe” friendly. And can we take a moment to appreciate the aesthetics? The LED glows like a tiny portal when you kick it on — honestly, it’s giving a fairy-core meets space lab. So necessary when the stage is dark! The metallic paint job is glam without being flashy, and the design is smart, with top-mounted jacks to save space on your pedalboard (blessings to the Hotone engineers for thinking of us dainty pedal nerds with limited real estate).
What 's inside?
24 studio-quality reverbs: halls, plates, springs, and some creative spaces. 3 Easy controls: Decay, Attack/Pre -DL, and Tone/Mod — so you can shape the sound without diving into menus… (yet)
3 Extra Controls:Preset (we can see on the screen: 200 banks that already come with 100 by factory with specific reverbs & IR (that you can modify just using the IR button) Mix & IR direct access.
Special Mention:
IR (Impulse Response) : That’s the nerdy part — it’s what makes the reverbs sound natural and realistic instead of fake and metallic. We have 120 IR’s to have fun with! and the switches are double function here: rotate (to see the different options of IR’s) and PRESS to select one.
ALT/MENU button: Pay attention to the colors here
When all the switches are in orange, and you touch the controls (the easy & extra ones): it will affect the IR parameters.
If you pulse the same button again ALT/MENU, some controls will become blue: this will affect the global parameters.
CLONE button: with this you can Clone another Reverbs
lets you clone the sound of your favorite pedals or effects into custom IRs — all within the unit itself. It can store up to 1024 IRs, making it a bottomless well of inspiration for those who want full control over their sonic palette. this was his time process.. which is not super long and at the end just can cancel or save it.
Neon Collector Software: Yes! Has their own App! that makes it all more easy.. like: Save and rename presets… managing your IRs and presets effortless. Import user .wav files, organize libraries, and keep your firmware up to date — all in a streamlined interface built for creators.
The sound?
Honestly, it’s beautiful. Hall mode is spacious and dreamy — perfect for ambient chords or fingerpicked guitar. Plate mode gives you that smooth, vintage shimmer. And because it’s convolution-based, everything feels more “real,” like you’re actually in the space instead of faking it. I can write two more pages about all that this very unique pedal offer us.. for more technical instructions when you get yours, visit: https://www.hotone.com/products/NeonGLow/Verbe
Verdict: If you want a tiny pedal that sounds expensive, this is it. It’s practical, affordable, and honestly kind of magical. Perfect for players who want big, studio-level reverbs without the big price or big size. The VerberA isn’t trying to be your $500 boutique reverb.. Whether you’re a bedroom producer, indie artist, or low-key ambient wizardess, this pedal is 100% worth the tiny footprint it takes up on your board.
