LIVE MUSIC REVIEW
If you were wondering, Bush is still Loaded!
The legendary English rock band Bush was formed in London in 1992 and released their smash-hit debut studio album Sixteen Stone November 1,1994 in the United States and May 8,1995 in the United Kingdom. The smash hit "Glycerine," went sextuple-platinum.
Their harsh gritty grunge rock, powerful and distorted searing guitar riffs, crisp yet gravelly commanding vocals and angst-filled, angry lyrics possessed the musical elements and magic required to conquer the alternative music charts and radio of the time. This defined their first-class rock'n'roll legacy for decades to come! They are kings of Grunge Rock!
The band's mammoth tour behind their greatest hits collection, "Loaded: The Greatest Hits Tour," has just left Canada — widely regarded as the tour's "most electrifying performance" to date, as per a press release — it included shows in 11 cities across six provinces this past spring, with special guests Filter and Rival Sons.
It was a rock'n'roll honour and blessing to carry a press pass for Guitar Thrills Magazine. I was a part of their incredible and iconic, grungey rock'n'roll history in Ottawa, Canada. My hometown.
Not my first Bush concert. And, in case you're wondering, BUSH STILL ROCKS! They brought their thunder! Bush killed it, like they always do! Their raw grunge rock energy packed the venue!
Powerful performances of their greatest classic hits, like "Everything Zen" and "Machinehead" rocked the arena!
They brought the thunder!!! Literally, they brought the thunder, with Nik Hughes pounding the drums while bright strobe lights flashed as the band stormed the stage.
The powerhouse British band continued to hit heavy with “60 Ways to Forget People,” a new heavy-hitter from Bush’s upcoming album Beat Loneliness, due out this July 2025. This track pounds hard and bold. Satisfying to fans who love the band’s signature riff-laden grit and grunge! It hit real hard and right on target.
At times, Rossdale ran through the crowd, hugging fans, singing in their faces! Lots of cell phone flashlights! Awesome vocals, punchy drums, searing guitar! Passionate and magnetic performances by Gavin Rossdale, lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist, lead guitarist Chris Traynor, bassist Corey Britz, and drummer Nik Hughes.
They lit the fire, held the torch, and burned all night long! A mix of nostalgic and brand new tracks, demonstrating that their next chapter will be as powerful a rock force to be reckoned with as their previous one.
The band was playing like they were in Madison Square Garden, which they will be playing in New York, N.Y., July 20, 2025! Kudos to the crew at The Canadian Tire Centre. The sound was flawless all night long! Live, loud, dazzling and rebellious! Fabulous energy! They definitely lived up to their iconic and legendary status.
I had the absolute guitar thrill of a lifetime interviewing Gavin Rossdale, the charismatic and enigmatic frontman for the band. "Canada has always been one of our favourite countries to play. We've had so much support over the years," Rossdale said.
Bush has been bursting eardrums with their heavy Grunge-orientated rock since the mid-'90s. In 2025, they will continue touring "Loaded: The Greatest Hits Tour". Catch them live this year. 27 shows in the USA, touring with Shinedown! BLAZING HOT!!! Not to be missed!
They grunge rock on as they bring it on loud, hard and strong, touring with VOLBEAT to Denmark, The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Czechia, Poland, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Spain, France and the UK. SIZZLING HOT!!! Not to be missed!
Catch them live in 2025 as they bring the 'Greatest Hits' tour to you! Enrapturing, alluring and seductive rock'n'roll energy! Bush gave an encore! The show was loaded! Bush at Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, ON, Canada.
